Picked up Vixen-03 back in 1978 and haven't been able to put down any of your books since. I build model ships, collect books, maps/sea charts, and anything on maritime/naval history I can find. My wife thinks I am crazy but it's fun to research all of this. Keep up the great work.

I'm excited to learn you are back out searching for more ships sunken during the Civil War. To combine a love of the sea with civil was history is true adventure. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Clive
I have got every book you have published (to the best of my knowledge) and I still can't believe how you can keep so many series going to such a high standard there are times when I wish I hadn't brought them cuz once I get started I can't stop reading till I either fall asleep or finish the book. I didn't think you could beat the Dirk Pitt stories but you have with the Oregon files. Where did you get the idea's for the ship? Will you be releasing any more of the sea hunter series of books reading about how you discovered real wrecks is so interesting especially when you put your version of how the ships sunk. Keep up the good work mate and I look forward to reading your next book

Most excellent reading. I enjoyed learning more about the wrecks and the determination of NUMA trying to bring this kind of information so everyone will be able to enjoy it. Keep up the good work!

I am a land surveyor in North East Texas. I have read all of Cussler's books and eagerly await each new one. The history that is intertwined and the technology which is consisted with what I use is very interesting.

Not that there is anything here, but if you are ever searching for anything in east Texas I would love to help.

I'm glad to see that NUMA is doing such an extensive job of locating shipwrecks from the Civil War, It's an era that except for treasure hunters, seems to have been overlooked by underwater archaeology. I hope you look for and locate the remains of the Merrimac! I wish I could find a group as dedicated as this to help me finish the mystery of Amelia Earhart!

Hey Clive the USS Cincinnati is still missing too. Off Cairo Illinois in a flood that swept it down stream. The story goes some kids found a cannon and plates in a muddy field. Though if she was stripped to the waterline and made into a wharfboat this story is unlikely. Too bad someone did not save an ironclad whole and preserved it. I guess after 1910 all where gone ,sold for scrap. Well except for the ones that were sunk that is. I would love to have a canon or ships bell from the USS Louisville. To dream is to believe anything is possible.
